somehow. I don't remember getting back. I just woke up at home after everything happened.

I texted you a few days ago, I only got an automated response back saying you were occupied. I got the same message from Hiro's device. Where WERE you?

we were in the air shrine. me and a handful of others. it didn't go well.

You wanna keep texting or talk about this in person?

it's a long story. maybe the latter would be better.

[ also he hasn't left his apartment since, so it might be nice to get some fresh air. ]

[ he almost types out "someplace with alcohol," but no. he knows that won't make it easier. ]

[ levi, remember the last time tadashi got hammered? never again. he won't be a good listener if he was drunk, anyway. ]

at the park, he meanders around mindlessly a little bit while he waits for Tadashi. he looks like he hasn't slept in... awhile. to be fair, he always sorta looks like that, but it's more noticeable now. he may have come back without any side effects, but that doesn't mean their little trip didn't take its toll.

on the plus side, being able to move is amazing. ]

[ tadashi goes alone this time around. no demo or no hiro to accompany him. it didn't seem appropriate to bring anything or anybody with him, so all he has in his pocket is his cerevice.

contrary to his usual big motioned waves, this one is a lot smaller in contrast when he sees levi. still, it's a greeting.

weakly: ] Hey there. Tadashi here.

[ you didn't have to introduce yourself, you nerd. ]

[ he can't help but snort a little in amusement at that. at least Tadashi's his favorite nerd. ]

Hey. I think we may have met once or twice before.

[ he laughs and combs his hair with his fingers awkardly. ]

No idea why I said that.

[ he shrugs, sighing inwardly. ]

It's... been a long day.

[ he'll just. stay quiet until levi wants to talk, then. he doesn't want to dawdle too long. ]

Yeah, I guess. [ a pause. ] So...

[ what the hell happened to you, bro? ]

[ he takes a deep breath and blows it out. okay, here we go... ]

I got a message a few days ago, in the middle of the night. From "a friend." They wanted to meet me at the air shrine. It sounded sketchy as hell, obviously, so I thought about ignoring it. But I also thought maybe I might be able to get some answers, so I went.

...When I got there, it turned out to be Mosley. There was another guy there that I kinda knew, and three girls I'd never met before. He shoved us all into the shrine and we ended up in an underground passage. That's where it started to get weird.

[ he can't help but feel like "weird" is an understatement here. ]

Then what happened?

[dirtdevil]

[ he crosses his arms and looks at the ground. no wonder Tadashi didn't want to tell people he died. this is awkward and unsettling. ]

There were a bunch of animals down there. We just kept going until we eventually heard giant footsteps. It turned out to be a big, ugly monster. It was blocking out way, so it had to go. Fortunately it was blind, so taking it out wasn't very hard. The others took out its legs and blocked it from biting anyone, and I killed it. Just... opened its throat. There wasn't much else I could do.

[ he pauses for a moment. here comes the fun part. ]

In any case, it bled all over me. I tried to get some of it off, but it was... oddly sticky. Not like human blood at all. One of the girls walked ahead and the ground gave out under her. It was a long way down, and she died from the fall. But we had to keep going, so we jumped the gap. By that point, though, the blood I was soaked in was starting to harden as it dried, and it was getting harder and harder to move. Soon enough, I was completely unable to move. The others had to go on without me.

...I'm not sure how long I was stuck there. Eventually I started to see things, and I think I passed out not long after that. I died down there, I guess. Then I woke up today in my apartment.

[ it really is awkawrd, isn't it. and now he feels terrible for telling people he died, too. it's just as awkward as telling the story.

not that he thinks of that word exactly, but he still can't believe that levi died. of all people, it was levi. ]

You of all people shouldn't have to apologize. I'd love to have a little chat with Mosley about it, though.

Oh, it doesn't have to be in person. Though I can't say the urge to punch him in the fucking face isn't very real right now.
