no, the 3dmg. though I don't know if it'd be a good idea to use it without me there anyway, to be honest.

[ no offense or anything. it's just... not easy to use, even upgraded with fancy rockets. if Tadashi'd gone off and hurt himself using it, he'd be beyond horrified. ]

Yeah definitely no time. I've been cleaning up the lab since the whole robot saga ended. Didn't know I had so much junk in this place.

but with that important info out of the way, he scans the area and then motions for Tadashi to follow him towards some trees. ]

You probably gathered this already, but these things don't really work on open ground.

They can't hook onto anything otherwise, right?

Right. It's no big deal here, but at home it puts us at even more of a disadvantage against titans.

[ he stops between a couple of trees. ]

Fortunately, we don't have to worry about that right now.

[ tadashi's seen how the 3dmg works, at least. the pins should hook onto the trees and they're maneuvered forward. the upgraded 3dmg wouldn't work otherwise if he didn't understand how it functioned. ]

Alright. So, what's next?

[ that certainly saves him some time explaining everything. let's just get to the fun (?) part!! ]

Balance is really, really important. It takes a lot of core strength to use these things well. If you can't hold your balance, you'll end up face down in the dirt or hanging upside down in a tree. Or dead.

[ no big deal, though, right? he motions towards the two trees. ]

This is probably a good place to start.

[ tadashi's pretty sure that hiro would laugh at him, though. ]

Well, that's a relief. I bet he could beat the shit out of me. If he brought Baymax, too, I'd be toast.

[ okay, maybe not, but to be honest if he ever got Tadashi hurt or killed he'd probably just let Hiro beat him up. because he'd deserve it. ]

Anyway, let's get you off the ground. Think you can balance between these trees?

he looks up at the trees, then at levi. ]

On a scale of one to ten, how difficult is it?

[ hmm... he crosses his arms, looking down in thought. ]

Kinda depends. Some people have to do a lot of practice balancing, and some people are naturals. Let's just call it a five.

[ he glances back up at Tadashi. ]

I'll spot you so you don't fall on your face.

[ which results in a smirk curling upon his face. he's still a bit hesitant, but. . . hopefully he doesn't fail. ]

Alright. So-- [ he's slow in moving but he moves the tech in the 3dmg so that the wire flies off and pieces the trees.

deep breaths. ]

Good. It's not easy.

[ words of encouragement! he's just hovering as close-by as possible without making it weird, ready to grab him if he ends up pitching forward or backward. it happens a lot in the beginning. it definitely happened to him, what with having to teach himself how to use it and all.

[ he's seen levi use his 3dmg before so he puts most of his weight below and thrusts forward a bit until he's up in the air. he actually manages to balance himself in between the wires for a split second. ]
