[ ...ah, yes. it's that awful, sinking feeling again. the "your friend is dead" feeling. he knows it all too well, and yet somehow it never gets any easier.
fuck.
there's no reply from him for at least five minutes or so. ]
[ he's not in a huge rush to get there—it wouldn't change anything—but he still arrives fairly quickly. upon arriving, he opens the door just enough to poke his head in. sure, he already has permission to come in, but he's not just going to saunter in there like he owns the place. not at a time like this. ]
[Well the apartment's dark first of all save for the faint glow of Baymax and what little light can get through the blinds. Hiro's bundled up on one of the couches in his comforter and still in his pajamas, but he turns his head a fraction when the door opens.]
Hey, Levi. [There's a very, very faint smile.] Like I said, door's open. [Please come in and shut out the rest of the world, bro.]
[ gladly. he steps inside, quietly closes the door behind him, and glances around at the big, empty apartment. it feels wrong. and seeing Hiro alone on the couch in the dark really drives it home that Tadashi's really gone. what does he even say? nothing will make this better. ]
Sorry.
[ his expression is blank. it probably looks like he isn't affected much by this, but nothing could be further from the truth. he's just really good at suppressing it. ]
[There's a small shrug. What's he supposed to say? "It's okay"? It's not okay, that's the thing. He's not sure it ever will be if this keeps happening, but Levi's here and Hiro knows that Tadashi meant quite a lot to him, too.]
At least we know where he is. It's just about trying to maybe get him back now...right?
[A shake of his head.] I wish. I've been trying to crack the Nexus Code since before Dipper left, too. We've got nothing so far. I might have some people I can ask but...nothing.
If I need to, I'll break into their tower again to find him.
Yeah. Didn't Tadashi and I ever tell you that we broke in last fall and that was when we first met the Flamines? [...on second thought maybe they actually didn't explain that. Whoops.]
O-oh. Um. [Whoops.] Okay, do you remember Katsura? Did you ever meet Katsura? It was his idea and this is gonna be a lot easier to explain if you know anything about him.

[ there's no hesitation there. Tadashi's not dead, he's in the code. or... well, he's kind of both, but let's not go there right now. ]
Any ideas?
